Job Description:
A company is looking for an Inpatient Hospital Coder.
Key Responsibilities
Collect and code ICD-10 diagnosis and PCS procedural codes based on
inpatient coding guidelines
Abstract data from various inpatient hospital case types
Resolve coding validation and claim edits in compliance with
regulatory processes
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education
Associate degree or two years of college coursework in Health
Information Management (HIM) or equivalent work experience
Minimum of 1 year inpatient facility coding experience or 3 years
outpatient facility coding experience with pediatric setting
experience
AHIMA - CCS or RHIT/RHIA or AAPC - CIC or CPC/COC with eligibility
to obtain CCS or CIC within 6 months of hire
Preferred: CCS or CIC at time of hire
Preferred: Experience in a pediatric acute care setting
