Quality Inspector (2nd Shift)

Pittsburgh, PA area

$16-22/hr

Direct-Hire / Permanent Position

Adecco direct-hire group is assisting a client in the Pittsburgh, PAarea in filling the role of a 2nd Shift Quality Inspector. You will be responsible for using a variety of hand measuring tools as well as a CMM machine to inspect precision parts for various industries. As the Quality Inspector, your responsibilities will include:

*Inspection of precision parts using manual inspection tools including: micrometers, calipers, microscopes, indicators and height gauges

*Program and operate a Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM)

*Perform first article inspections

*General part inspection including: size, surface finish and general appearance

*Pass or fail parts and seek approval for deviated parts

*Assist with packaging parts to ensure they arrive is satisfactory condition

Qualifications:

*HS Diploma or equivalent. Technical training preferred

*3+ years working in a Quality Inspection department, preferably with metal fabrication

*Experience using all hand held measuring tools and operating a CMM machine

*Must be able to pass drug and background screens

*Able to work 2nd shift

Hours for this position are typically 5pm to 3am with a standard 50 hour work week. There is a 20% shift differential offered for the 2nd shift (added to the hourly rate). Benefits are available on the 1st of the month after you are hired.
