Sherwin-Williams is seeking motivated individuals for our R&D Leadership Development Program, designed to develop skills for a role in the Chemist track within our Performance Coatings Group. The program includes training to support technical divisions such as Automotive, Coil, Industrial Wood, General Industrial, Packaging, or Protective and Marine. Successful completion offers promotion opportunities within the Chemist track. This position starts in January 2025. This program provides an opportunity to join the Sherwin-Williams Performance Coatings Group, which supplies highly-engineered solutions for the construction, industrial, packaging, and transportation markets in over 120 countries. Various business units include Automotive Finishes, Coil Coatings, Engineered Polymer Solutions, General Industrial Coatings, Packaging Coatings, Protective & Marine, and Industrial Wood Coatings. The industrial markets serviced include, but are not limited to, Beverage & Food Cans, Furniture, Flooring, Cars, Airplanes, Marine, Oil & Gas, Electronics, Military, and Appliances. • Opportunity to build relationships with supply chain and gain knowledge of plant operations

• Work alongside senior chemists Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in science or technical related field (e.g., Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science, or Corrosion Engineering)
  • Minimum GPA: 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
  • Previous experience working on projects in a lab environment
  • Open to relocation and travel based on business need
  • Authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship Preferred
    • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science, or Material Science
    • Previous lab experience
    • At least one year of project management experience
    • Experience with paint and coatings formulations and processes
    • Team-oriented work experience
    • Experience maintaining and analyzing data
    • Utilization of computer software such as QAD, Oracle, or SAP
