Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Stepdown Cardiac Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (7:00 p.m. - 7:30 a.m.) Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in similar acuity settings, with large hospital experience preferred License: Registered Nurse License Certifications: BLS (AHA) and ACLS certification Must-Have: Ability to read and interpret telemetry Job Description: - Provide nursing care in a fast-paced Procedural Care Unit, specializing in pre- and post-procedural care for Electrophysiology, Interventional Radiology, and Cardiovascular labs. - Handle procedures including TAVR's, ablations, biopsies, and catheterizations. - Participate in 90% moderate sedation recovery and 10% PACU recovery. - Work in two areas: short-term stay (6 hours or less recovery) and long-term stay (6 hours or greater recovery, up to 24 hours). - Maintain a nurse-to-patient ratio of 3:1 from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. and 4:1 from 11 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. - Adapt to a Level II trauma setting with comprehensive stroke center certification. - Participate in orientation with 16 non-billable hours (pre-start modules included). - Work every other holiday and one weekend every 6 weeks, with no call or float requirements.
