are currently seeking a self-motivated, results-oriented SENIOR
COMPUTER HARDWARE ENGINEER. This is a senior leadership role
responsible for overseeing the strategic and operational aspects of
computer hardware engineering within our organization. This role
combines technical expertise, managerial leadership, and strategic
vision to guide teams and align engineering initiatives with
organizational goals. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: Strategic
Leadership:
- Define and implement the technical vision and strategy for the
organization's computer hardware engineering department.
- Collaborate with executives and stakeholders to align
engineering initiatives with business goals.
- Identify emerging technologies and trends to drive innovation
and maintain a competitive edge. Team and Resource Management:
- Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing team. Responsible for
qualifying computer components, production preparation, QA,
Inspections, and support.
- Oversee recruitment, training, and retention of top
talent.
- Develop and manage budgets, ensuring resources are allocated
effectively. Project Oversight:
- Provide oversight for the development, implementation, and
maintenance of hardware and software solutions.
- Ensure engineering projects meet quality standards, deadlines,
and budget constraints.
- Monitor project progress and resolve issues that arise during
development. Process Optimization:
- Establish and optimize engineering processes and workflows for
maximum efficiency.
- Promote best practices in hardware design, system integration,
and software development.
- Implement metrics to measure team performance and project
outcomes. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Act as a bridge between engineering teams and other departments
(e.g., sales, operations, merchandising, vendors)
- Facilitate effective communication between technical teams and
non-technical stakeholders.
- Represent the engineering department in executive meetings and
decision-making processes. Risk Management and Compliance:
- Ensure all engineering activities comply with regulatory
requirements and industry standards.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with engineering
projects.
- Oversee security protocols for systems and data. REQUIRED
SKILLS:
- Deep understanding of computer engineering principles,
including hardware design, software development, and systems
integration.
- Experience in PC troubleshooting and repair, including hardware
and BIOS-level support.
- Experience in CPU, memory, and GPU overclocking.
- Proficiency in programming languages, cloud platforms, and
emerging technologies (e.g., AI, IoT, blockchain).
- Strong grasp of scalability, reliability, and security in
system design.
- Proven ability to lead and foster a collaborative culture.
- Experience in setting strategic goals and aligning them with
business objectives.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Expertise in project management methodologies.
- Ability to manage complex, large-scale projects across multiple
teams.
- Exceptional communication skills for interacting with
stakeholders at all levels.
- Capability to negotiate budgets, timelines, and project
priorities effectively. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or
a related field (Master's degree or MBA is highly desirable).
- 8 years of experience in computer engineering or related
fields.
- Significant experience in leadership roles, such as Engineering
Manager or Senior Engineer.
- Track record of managing large-scale engineering projects
successfully.
- Exposure to Microsoft's MDA and Jumpstart programs for Windows
based personal computers.
- Familiarity with mass production implementation and use of ERP
systems and practices.
- Experience with quality assurance protocols from individual PC
components to finish goods and overall product model life
cycle.
